Tokyo

Tokyo

A childhood is sunk,

In whitened soul ingrained,

Within a lonely synapse,

Caught within a brain.

Is childhood a cloth that hangs

Over eyes ’til child can see?

For how long can childhood last,

Within its host’s naivety?

This childhood follows Tokyo,

Through grim and black dismay,

This childhood lives in Tokyo,

Until Tokyo’s dying day.
